When it comes to choosing between the three leaders in public cloud infrastructure, comparisons can be difficult. Between them, AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) offer a bewildering array of services, as well as pricing plans that can sometimes seem frustratingly cryptic.
Datamation recently updated their public cloud comparison article, which does a pretty good job clearing-up some of the mystery. While not perfect (see the comments to grasp some of the oversights) it is still a valuable resource when trying to understand these providers’ comparative strengths and weaknesses. While necessarily incomplete in such a fast-moving marketplace, the table at the end, laying-out what each vendor offers for common business needs, is particularly helpful.
